And we're back

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day than Saturday! Everything went really well with the wedding and we were blessed to be surrounded by family and friends. After a (far too) brief honeymoon we are back to the real world and on with our life together. We have pictures galore (of the wedding, not the honeymoon); if you want to see a few, send me an email.

Somewhere over the past year when my daughters told people that Mommy was getting married, a well-meaning adult must have said something about them getting a little brother or sister someday. For months, the girls have been saying things like, "When Mommy gets a baby in her tummy" or "Can we save this for the baby in your tummy?" I had to have a chat with the girls about how there is not currently a baby in Mommy's tummy and there will not be one there for a while, and could they please not talk about it in public in such a loud voice.

They were highly disappointed to find out that the occurrence of a wedding does not immediately guarantee a sibling. We told them they would probably have a little brother or sister someday, but that it would be a while.

But here's my little secret: I'm ready for a baby now, practicality and timing be damned.
